At The Club, we believe that empowerment starts in the most common situations of the everyday life at work. In the meeting room on Monday mornings, or over the phone, negotiating with a client, a supplier, a colleague. And that it is made of small, concrete steps, one after the other, every day.
For the past 4 years, working in an investment bank, I have learned that being women impacts our careers, whether we like it or not!
All women on the job market come across similar challenges and most of the time we are not well prepared to answer them. No matter how many empowering books we read or TED talks about women leadership we watch (and both are great!), at work, no one is going to do our jobs for us. When we sit at our desk, we are the ones building our careers day after day, so we need to be equipped and prepared. We are responsible and cannot wait for the world, our company or our boss to make space for us.
Concrete advice, solidarity amongst women, and experience sharing from the ones who walked our path before us, are the keys to reach our professional goals.
This is what The Club is about! A place where all women will find what they need to overcome the challenges of their everyday life at work. Only practical information, directly inspired from my experience on the ground, and that turned out useful.
The change will come from us. We must take the first step to make it into the boy’s club.
Welcome to The Club!
